The Country Encyclopaedia

The Country Encyclopaedia provides comprehensive information on countries and peoples, colonies and old states, offers information on their geography and history and also presents their flags and coats of arms. Access is via an alphabetical list.

Countries of the whole world

The pages contain territorial authorities from all over the world, all officially recognised states of the world, former states, their current and historical flags and ensigns, merchant flags, naval flags, state flags, official flags, the flag of the head of state, or special flags, flags or ensigns of secessionist areas, many provincial flags or of territorially subordinate areas, flags of federal states or federal states and flags of various peoples. There is also a semiotic search engine, the flag finder, with which a flag can be searched for, found, assigned and identified according to geometric features.
