Ursprung des Landesnamens – Origin of the Country's Name:
Das Homeland hieß zuerst "Amaswazi", nach dem Bantu-Stamm seiner Bewohner. Später wurde es in "KaNgwane" umbenannt, da das benachbarte Swasiland, an das KaNgwane angeschlossen werden sollte, sich selbst "Ngwana" nennt. The homeland was named first "Machangana", by the name of the Bantu tribe of his inhabitants. Later it was renamed in "KaNgwane" because the neighbouring Swaziland – it was palanned to annex KaNgwane with it – names itself "Ngwana".
