Ursprung des Landesnamens – Origin of the Country's Name:
Das Homeland hieß zuerst "Machangana", nach dem Bantu-Stamm seiner Bewohner. Später wurde es in "Gazankulu" umbenannt, zu Ehren eines großen Häuptlings, nach anderen Quellen zu Ehren des alten Königreiches "Gaza". The homeland was named first "Machangana", by the name of the Bantu tribe of his inhabitants. Later it was renamed in "Gazankulu" to honour a great chief, according to other sources to honour the ols Kingdom of "Gaza".
